Pay Them How Much? – A Follow-up

In one of my Ezine Articles (“Pay Them How Much?” published on December 6, 2009), I related a story about an organization which refused to believe their survey information.  Over the years they had conducted two employee surveys and a compensation benchmarking survey.  In addition, they had lots of anecdotal information.  Bottom line:  Their employees were underpaid.

Well, I just read where some of their employees have unionized.  Now it has been several years since these surveys, but I still wonder if this could have been avoided.

You know, with all of this talk about employee engagement and with union membership way down you’ve got to figure that this company must really be doing something special.
